"Alan Short and Simon Hirst rebuilt and redecorated our Victorian cottage - after removing all floorboards, joists and skirting boards, due to dry rot - and were a joy to deal with. They were creative - suggesting several improvements that would not have occurred to us - punctual and very skilful, building a beautiful staircase that is so much better than what it replaced. They also commissioned and oversaw other artisans - such as stonemasons who paved our front and rear yards - so Acorn Interiors do excellent exterior work, too.
